APTA President, William Millar, Testifies Before The Subcommittee On Homeland Security
William W. Millar, President of the American Public Transportation Association, testified before the Subcommittee on Homeland Security of the House Committee on Appropriations.
Mr. Millar testified that public transportation is one of our nation’s critical infrastructures and emphasized its importance to the economic quality of life of this country. He stated that safety and security are the top priority of the public transportation industry and urged Congress to provide funds, including $600,000 to maintain the Public Transportation Information Sharing and Analysis Center (PT-ISAC), to assist transit systems address the identified transit security investment needs.
